Important: Dashmo is designed as a personal productivity tool for delivery drivers. We minimize data collection and prioritize your privacy and data security.

- Account Information: Email address and username (optional) for account creation
- Delivery Data: Information you choose to save, including:
- Customer addresses (stored locally on your device by default)
- Building names and unit numbers
- Access codes (encrypted on your device)
- Delivery notes and preferences
- Photos of buildings/entrances (compressed and stored locally)
2.2 Automatically Collected Information
- Device Information: Device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers
- Usage Data: App features used, time spent in app, crash reports
- Location Data: Only when you explicitly grant permission and only while using the app
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information solely to:
- Provide and maintain the Service
- Enable offline functionality
- Sync data across your devices (only with your explicit consent)
- Improve app performance and fix bugs
- Respond to your support requests

4. Data Storage and Security
4.1 Local-First Storage
By default, all sensitive delivery information (addresses, gate codes, notes) is stored locally on your device. This means:
- Data remains on your phone unless you enable cloud sync
- We cannot access your local data
- Deleting the app removes all local data
4.2 Cloud Storage (Optional)
If you enable cloud sync:
- Data is encrypted before transmission
- Stored on secure servers with encryption at rest
- Accessible only with your account credentials
- Can be permanently deleted at any time

- AES-256 encryption for sensitive data
- Secure HTTPS connections
- Regular security audits
- No storage of payment information
5. Data Retention and Deletion
5.1 Retention Period
- Active Accounts: Data retained while account is active
- Inactive Accounts: Data automatically deleted after 12 months of inactivity
- Deleted Content: Removed immediately from active systems, purged from backups within 30 days
5.2 Your Deletion Rights
You can delete your data at any time by:
- Deleting specific entries within the app
- Using the "Clear All Data" option in settings
- Deleting your account entirely

9. Third-Party Services
We use minimal third-party services:
- Stripe: Payment processing (we never see your card details)
- Cloudflare: Security and performance
- Apple/Google: App distribution and crash reporting
Each service has its own privacy policy and data practices.
10. Data Breach Notification
In the unlikely event of a data breach, we will:
- Notify affected users within 72 hours
- Provide details about what information was compromised
- Offer guidance on protective steps
- Report to relevant authorities as required by law
11. International Data Transfers
If you use Dashmo outside the United States, your data may be transferred to US servers. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place in compliance with applicable laws.
